Background & Bio

Rory is the Deputy Director of Policy at Carbon180, where he performs research and analysis on technologies and land management strategies that sequester atmospheric carbon dioxide.

Rory graduated from the Yale School of the Environment in 2021 with an MEM in Policy Analysis. Prior to YSE, Rory worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at Carbon180. He also worked at the Natural Resources Defense Council in the summer of 2020, studying and designing near-term federal policy strategies to incentivize the deployment of carbon dioxide removal approaches.

Rory has also consulted for a number of organizations on carbon dioxide removal, including the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the World Resources Institute, the Energy Futures Initiative, and the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute.
