Ms. Estella has a background in finance, accounting, risk management and fund operations. Prior to Carbon Direct, Ms. Estella held leadership roles at D. E. Shaw, including most recently as Principal and Chief Accounting Officer of D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments, where she formerly held titles as Executive Director of Accounting and Head of Risk Management. Prior to D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments, Ms. Estella was a Vice President at D. E. Shaw & Co. Prior to D. E. Shaw & Co., Ms. Estella was a Lead Senior accountant at Ernst & Young in the Real Estate Assurance & Advisory Services group. Ms. Estella has a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.

Mr. Goldberg has a background in energy investing and institutional asset management. Prior to launching Carbon Direct Capital, Mr. Goldberg was the Founder and Managing Partner of BBL Commodities. Prior to BBL, Mr. Goldberg was a partner at Glencore. Prior to Glencore, Mr. Goldberg was an investor at Goldman Sachs in the J. Aron commodities division. Mr. Goldberg sits on the board of the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University. He is also an advisor to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s report on negative emissions. Mr. Goldberg holds a BS in economics from Yale University.

Mr. Dienstag has a background in fundamental equity investing with a focus on high growth and technology companies. Prior to Carbon Direct, Mr. Dienstag was the Chief Investment Officer of Artist Capital Management LLC, a technology-focused growth equity firm and an SEC Registered Investment Adviser. Prior to Artist, Mr. Dienstag was a Managing Director at Emerging Sovereign Group. Prior to ESG, Mr. Dienstag was an analyst at Ziff Brothers Investments and an investment banking analyst in Morgan Stanley’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Mr. Dienstag holds a BA in art history from Harvard University.

Ms. Davids brings a well-rounded scientific background to her position as an Associate at Carbon Direct Capital Management. She was drawn to this position due to her passion to make carbon dioxide removal and reduction an accessible topic to people of all backgrounds.
Prior to working for Carbon Direct Capital Management, Ms. Davids worked as a Client Project Manager for Carbon Direct Inc. to assist clients to achieve their decarbonization goals. During her studies obtaining a BS in Chemical Engineering and MS in Material Science and Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, she collaborated with experts from around the world as Research Assistant to Dr. Jennifer Wilcox. Her work on the CDR Primer, as well as other scientific contributions, focused on a vast amount of different carbon dioxide removal and reduction strategies.

Ms. Gilbert has a background in investment management and is a leader in the international climate community. Ms. Gilbert is the Chairwoman of the Investment Committees of both the David Rockefeller Fund and the Synergos Institute, and she is a Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Ms. Gilbert is the Chair of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero Advisory Panel as well as a member of its CEO & Principals Leadership Group. Ms. Gilbert is also the Chair of U.S. Policy for the United Nations-convened Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance. Previously, Ms. Gilbert served as a member of the State of California’s Climate-Related Financial Risk Advisory Group and the Social Mission Board of Seventh Generation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Unilever. Ms. Gilbert was a Co-founder and Portfolio Manager at Matarin Capital. Prior to Matarin, Ms. Gilbert was a Senior Director and Senior Quantitative Analyst at Invesco. Ms. Gilbert is a permanent member of both the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York, where she sits on the Membership Committee.
